Joy Villa rocked the Grammy Awards with a dress paying homage to President Donald Trump and the Make America Great Again movement.
Joy is a mulatto singer-songwriter known for wearing interesting dresses. Last year she wore an orange fishnet.
The designer of the dress is a Filipino immigrant named Andre Soriano. He told the Hollywood Reporter:
We all live on this planet. I’ve never been in the political arena. However, it’s just so crazy that people are getting beat up because they voted for Trump, or this and that, someone wants to bomb the White House. I am an American, I moved here from the Philippines, and I highly believed in the trueness of what this country can bring. It’s about bringing people together, that’s the message.
Even though Joy did not win any Grammys, the most of which (5) went to the late great David Bowie, Joy certainly won the night with her courageous dress in such hostile territory.
